Edinburgh sisters, Eva (4) and Lily (3) Chalmers, have been the first lucky little customers to help the newly-refurbished Dalmahoy Hotel & Country Club taste test a special children’s afternoon tea launching for families.
And the delectable dishes passed the rigorous testing process. The children’s afternoon tea, featuring colourful sandwiches, cakes and goodies, is served daily between 2pm-5pm in the hotel’s Douglas Lounge, a relaxed environment for little ones and parents to enjoy a special treat. Weekends are especially popular, and booking is essential.
A masterpiece by Dalmahoy’s talented chef, the creative cake stands – which will be served every day, including during the school holidays – can also be enjoyed outside on the hotel’s impressive terrace during nicer weather.
Following afternoon tea, children can make use of the hotel’s extensive grounds, adventuring out into the resort’s nature trails.
Alistair Kitchin, general manager at the independently-run Dalmahoy said: “Kids stay and eat for free at breakfast and dinner when staying overnight with us, making it the ideal destination for a family staycation. We wanted to add something extra special onto our menu for families to enjoy together, I’m sure it will prove a big hit with our littlest customers and parents alike!”
The resort has plenty to keep kids entertained with extensive grounds to explore, a nature trail, driving range, pitch and putt, and swimming pool.
Classic family afternoon tea at Dalmahoy is priced at £16.95 per person for adults and £8.95 per person for kids. Runs daily between 2pm-5pm.
